The pancreas facilitates the diffusion of protein in cells, the main job of the pancreas is to release insulin which moves the glucose into the cells. But most of the protein we consume are broken down in the stomach and then sent through the intenstines where it is released into the blood stream so it can be delivered to the cells. These cells can also be broken down to form protein that the cells need as well as they can be generated in the liver.
So to make all this short the majority of the protein is broken down in the stomach it then goes to the intenstines and is absorbed into the blood stream.
I didnt get the book I am just taking the exam I took 3 anatomy and physiology courses at Eastern Connecticut which is one of the top schools for these courses, if you have any other questions feel free to ask
